Architectural Millwork, Built Into the House
Architectural millwork is the woodwork that becomes part of the structure: paneled rooms, libraries, integrated shelving, ceiling details, window seats and wall systems that line up with the house down to the reveal. It is the hardest category of interior woodwork to get right. Every piece has to meet walls, floors and ceilings that are never perfectly flat, square or plumb.
BUILT has fabricated architectural millwork in Tampa since 2013. We work directly from architectural drawings and interior design specifications, then model the entire scope in 3D before anything is cut. That model is where we catch conflicts: an outlet in the middle of a panel field, a door casing that collides with a return, an HVAC register that lands in a bookcase.

Why in-house matters
Engineering, fabrication, finishing and installation all happen inside our own team. The people who drew the panel layout are down the hall from the people spraying the finish and the crew setting it on site. Nothing gets lost between subcontractors, and when a field condition changes, we can respond in days, not weeks.
Built for Florida
Solid wood moves with humidity. In a Gulf Coast home, panels have to be engineered for seasonal movement: floating panels, stable substrates, and a finish sealed on every face. Detailing it right is the difference between paneling that looks the same in year ten and paneling that cracks at the joints by its second summer.
